At A.L.T Printing Co., a custom screen-printing shop, I wear two hats:
Designer and Print Production Assistant.

As the in-house designer, I create custom T-shirt graphics, stickers, brochures, and illustrations for web and social—tailored to both client needs and the shop’s branding. My work ranges from hand-drawn typography to vector-based designs, always optimized for clean, bold screen-printing results.

Alongside my employer, I assist in every step of the screen-printing process—from prepping screens to pulling prints. This hands-on experience with materials, ink behavior, and press mechanics directly informs how I design: I understand how to make artwork that’s not just eye-catching, but print-friendly and production-ready.

This role has sharpened my skills in client collaboration, merch design, and print process thinking—making me a designer who knows how to bridge vision and execution.

Lansing Beer Fest – Event T-Shirt Design

For this custom T-shirt commissioned by the Lansing Beer Fest, I was asked to create a design that celebrated the unique identity of Reo Town, a historic district in Lansing known for its industrial roots and thriving local business scene.

Starting with pencil sketches in my sketchbook, I developed the concept around Reo Town’s iconic gear motif, a nod to its manufacturing past. My client also wanted to highlight the small businesses that make the neighborhood special—so I hand-illustrated both sides of the street, capturing the character and charm of the local storefronts.

The final design combines detailed linework, community pride, and a bold, screen-print-ready layout that made for a standout event shirt.

Mighty Uke Day 2025 – T-Shirt Design

For Mighty Uke Day 2025, I was commissioned to create a T-shirt design based on the theme "Meowing at the Moon." The client provided a reference image, which I reimagined using my own illustration style.

I began by redrawing the concept in Procreate, refining the character and composition with hand-drawn detail. Once the illustration was finalized, I vectorized the artwork in Adobe Illustrator, added custom typography, and prepared the design for screen printing.

The result is a playful and bold graphic that blends whimsy with a musical spirit—perfect for this beloved ukulele festival.

DARA 3v3 Champions – Basketball T-Shirt Design

For the DARA 3v3 Basketball Champions T-shirt, I designed a bold, athletic graphic that reflected the organization’s brand and the competitive energy of the tournament. Using curated elements from Adobe Stock, I assembled and customized a clean, dynamic layout that celebrated the players while staying true to DARA’s visual identity.

This project showcases my ability to work within brand guidelines, leverage stock resources effectively, and deliver a professional, print-ready design under a quick turnaround—perfect for team and event merch.

Kim’s Surf n Turf – Charity Benefit T-Shirt Design

This T-shirt design was created for Kim’s Surf n Turf, a charity event celebrating Kim’s favorite meal while raising funds for a meaningful cause. I hand-illustrated a playful and vibrant surf and turf spread, incorporating detailed food imagery with a whimsical touch.

To complete the composition, I integrated the event title directly into the illustration, creating a cohesive and eye-catching design that captured both the spirit of the event and Kim’s personality. The result was a heartfelt, custom piece that brought community and creativity together on one shirt.
